Process

The waste material is processed through a Mars recycling plant. Firstly the waste material is sort in state of art Plastics Bottle Sorting Plant & pre-shredded reducing the material to an easily manageable size, from there the material goes into a feed hopper, then, via screw conveyor it enters the first separation process.

A flotation tank separates dirt, metals, other contaminates and sinking plastics. The waste is recovered, the sinking plastics separated and the floating material is moved by screw conveyor into a granulator.

The granulator reduces the plastic into a flake which can be sized to meet end user requirements, dust and fine plastic particles are recovered via a dust extractor.

The flake then enters a further separation process and washing plant, from there the flake enters a trammel table that removes any remaining contamination and then the finished product is bagged ready for sale.
